Fuck

Well, what did I say about counting chickens? (see today's first post) The "roomie" is a no-go! That's why I have always tried to live my life depending on myself and no one else. It just doesn't pay to count on other people. At least, if you depend only on yourself, you're never disappointed.

Back to square one. AGAIN.

And Then The Clouds Parted.....

My life has once again done a "One-Eighty". Out of nowhere on Friday night, my prayers were answered. One of the people that I went to Sturgis with came up to me and said they wanted to move in and help me keep my house. The coolest part, is that I didn't have to ask them for help. They came up to me and said they wanted to be there for me. How great is that?
Sometimes, good things DO happen to good people.
Of course, no furniture has been moved....no keys given out....so I'm not counting my chickens yet. But, at least I do have some hope of tackling this latest obstacle on my road to "happiness".....or "sanity". LOL
I hope you all had a great weekend!

Yippee! It's Friday!

I am swamped at work today - so I thought I would just post some new pics of my gorgeous nieces and beautiful sister! You guys have heard enough about me for the week! LOL
Look at those dimples! Whew!
Two precious sisters!!
You may not recognize my sis, since she went from blonde hair, to black hair, back to blonde and now red - I guess now we actually look like sisters - LOL.
Quick update: I am working hard on a solution to the house problem - talking to a realtor tomorrow to discuss options. Taking it one day at a time....and actually feel pretty good today!
Thanks you guys for all of your continued support. You know that it means the absolute world to me!
Love, Peace (and all that good feeling stuff) - Jenlicious! XO

Half-Nekkid Thursday - 07.27.06

I'll entitle this week's HNT - "Midnight Swim". And, because I missed a week while I was at Sturgis, I'll post some extras.

There is nothing better, in my mind, than swimming at night. Talk about relaxation!

Not really sure why I posted this one. I really liked the greenery, mixed with my eyes, and of course, a little skin, as well as the darkness of night as a background.

Wet & Cold. I really love my skull & crossbones, though!

I hope you all have a great day!!

Much Love - Jen

Wednesday Post #2

The song below is my new mantra. I've loved it since I first heard it, and it still has the power to make me suck it all up and keep going. Rodney Atkins is my new hero - well, plus he's pretty hot. I met him when he played here in early June, and he was so nice.
Anyway....here's a shout-out to Mr. Atkins with a big "Thank You" for putting out a song that I can really relate to.

IF YOU'RE GOIN' THROUGH HELL

Well you know those times when you feel like
There's a sign there on your back
That says I don't mind if you kick me, seems like everybody has
Things go from bad to worse, you think it can't get worse than that
And then they do

You step off the straight & narrow and you don't know where you are
Used the needle of your compass to sew up your broken heart
Ask directions from a genie in a bottle of Jim Beam & she lies to you
That's when you learn the truth

If you're goin' through hell, keep on goin', don't slow down
If you're scared don't show it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there

I've been deep down in that darkness
I've been down to my last match
Felt a hundred different demons breathin' fire down my back
And I knew that if I stumbled I'd fall right into the trap
That they were layin'

But the good news is there's angels everywhere out on the street
Holdin' out a hand to pull you back up on your feet
The one's that you've been draggin' for so long
You're on your knees, might as well be prayin'
Guess what I'm sayin

If you're goin' through hell, keep on goin', don't slow down
If you're scared don't show it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there

When you're goin' through hell, keep on movin'
Face that fire, walk right through it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there

Blind-Sided Again

Well, the thin veil of my short-lived "happiness" was pierced last night by more bad news. After months of going back and forth, my cousin finally had the balls to tell me that he is not going to move in with me (and essentially save me from losing my house). I have nothing but love for him, but I wish he would have just told me a long time ago. Now, I have to start trying to figure out AGAIN how to keep my home. On top of that, hubby called last night (in a MAJOR mood) and decided to punish me for whatever in the hell was wrong with him. He and I had been getting along so well lately, and I have no idea where that came from.

It just never stops.
So, here I go again. Remember folks, my benevolent employer just screwed me over my raise.....right before I have to try and get financing to "buy" my house. Do I keep the house, sell the house......how do I live in an apartment with two BIG dogs? Do I just get a second job? Put an ad in the paper? Shoot myself?
I don't ask for much of anything out of this life - just to be loved and to be happy. Do the good people in this world always finish last?
FUCK!

TMI Tuesday

Thanks again to The Professor for giving me something to post today! What would I do without you?

1. Have you ever called in sick to have sex?
Yes....and it was sooo worth it! I've also had a few "nooner's", but I've never had sex during work. (I'll try to work on this one!)

2. Do you feel "entitled" to sex when you are in a relationship?
I would say that I do feel "entitled" to sex. Of course, I would hope that I wouldn't have to beg for it. The world "entitled" leads my mind to think that I'm wanting something that I'm not getting, or that the person I'm with doesn't want to have sex, which I have never encountered. So, I would say that I've never had to feel "entitled" to anything.

3. Have you ever dated/married purely for money?

This one is easy. NEVER.

4. Have you ever, of your own free will, had sex with someone you didn't really want to? Why?

No. My free will is extremely strong....and I've never been that desperate.

5. Name three words that:

a) get you excited - Mind Blowing Sex

b) make you squirm - Incest, Rape and Hatred

c) make you laugh - Puppies, Babies and Beer (and don't ask me why, because I have no idea!)

Bonus (as in optional): Have you ever had sex with a relative (cousin, inlaw...)?

Just because I live in Kentucky, which is close to Alabama, doesn't mean I have sex with my relatives. Nor, do I have any desire to.

Lil' Sturgis Chronicles

WARNING: EXPLICIT CONTENT (well, not totally explicit, but there is some partial nudity)!

The only bad thing about going to an event like Sturgis, is that (for my purposes here) I can't really show any of the good pictures, or tell the best parts of my escapades, but there is still plenty to share.
The best thing about bike rallies is the fact that everybody gets along.....it's all about sharin' the love. You'd think with thousands of bikers and gallons and gallons of alcohol, on top of the fact that 80% of the people there are half-nekkid, that trouble would be a-brewin'. But it's the total opposite. Everybody is there to have fun....and trust me....fun was had by all. I have never seen so many characters in all my life. Even huge women who, by the way, shouldn't really be walking around naked were treated as if they were hot as hell, and I think that mentality is awesome!!
We left bright and early on Wednesday in a caravan of about 10 people and headed on our way. We had more people coming to join us a few days later. Mind you, the Rally didn't really even start until Friday, but you have to get in line to get in. Some people get there as early as two weeks in advance. What happens is....once you get there, you are lined up in a staging area where you camp the first night. Then, the next morning, they come around and collect your money and give you a wrist band that has to be worn at all times, and put a sticker on your vehicle. Then, they let you into the compound a row at a time. Remember, there are thousands and thousands of people. The reason people want to get in line so early, is because once they let you into the compound, it's a free-for-all to find the perfect spot where you will spend the next four days. The other crazy thing about rallies is that they are policed by bikers. There is no law enforcement in the compound. Of course, the security team was comprised of Hell's Angels members, so it's pretty easy to see why MOST people behave themselves.
We drove through hard ass rain the entire time getting there and when we pulled into the staging area, the RV tires went straight into the mud. They ended up having to get a couple of John Deere tractors to pull the RV's and campers out of the muck and into a spot.
As soon as we parked, we popped the tops....and pretty much drank non-stop for the next four days. We didn't want to unload or unpack anything, since we were moving into the compound the next morning, so we just all pulled out our chairs and coolers and sat in a big circle talking and laughing....mostly laughing. One of the couples that went had a "horn" that was made of plastic and pretty much set the tone for the week. The thing about the horn is that you pass it from person to person to see if they can get it to blow really loud and deep. You can NOT pass on the horn. If you are in the circle, you have to play. I swear I never laughed so hard in all my life, because usually it would take about five times before you could get it to work, and some of the sounds that came out of that thing were just hysterical. Of course, I'm sure the alcohol made it even funnier.
God Bless the Horn!!
The next morning, we got up, waited for the word to move and struck out to find our campsite. We found a perfect spot right on a major corner, with plenty of shade. We attempted to form a wagon train so that no "outsiders" could invade our camp. But, as the days worn on, stragglers would come in and before we knew it, we had about 10 other tents around our camp. The good thing about events like these, is that you really "bond" with the people camping around you, because you spend so much time together. It's like a little family for a week. I fell in love with everybody I met and had to best time with each and every one of them. Of course, I don't know any of their real names, because you all know I love to give pet names.
The first of our "week-long buddies" that I met was the first guy who came up to our circle where we were sitting and offered us beads on the first night. He had this HUGE set around his neck and this BIG beer bottle, which I thought was hilarious. I asked him what was required to earn those big beads and he gave that typical guy grin and said something outrageous. I started laughing and told him that I was positive he would still be wearing those on the last day. (He was!!!) I dubbed him "Bead Boy" and continued to call him that for the rest of the week.
The only bad thing about the trip was the heat! It was so f'in hot, I didn't think I could take it. I'm talking about the kind of heat and humidity that smacks you square in the face when you walk outside. I mean, just sitting still I had sweat dripping in my eyes. It was pretty intense. But, at least we had the RV where we could go inside and cool off for a minute. Our first morning, I woke up and saw this drunk guy passed out in his camper - with no air - and wondered how in the hell he could lay there like that. He had to be totally out of it! It makes me sweat just looking at the picture again.
Of course, our campsite was right next to the infamous Tit's-R-Us Headquarters. These guys were absolutely hilarious! They had a huge Stop Sign right on the corner, and of course, every bike would stop, the girls would flash them, and they would give you a "stamp". It was pretty cool to have them right next to us, because we didn't even have to leave camp to see all the wildness.
They also had a "tiddie pool" set up in front, so when babes got hot, they could just walk up and hop in. Of course, by day two, I wouldn't even dip my little toe into that water.
The intention of alot of people at Sturgis is to attract attention. Some of the costumes, clothes - or lack thereof - and hats people had on were hysterical. Like, this guy for instance:
Or this guy....who I dubbed "Flasher". His sign said: "Flash Me and I'll Flash You".
Or, this guy (in the background), who just walked around the entire weekend butt naked without a care in the world:
Or, this guy - President of Tits-R-Us - showing off his grilling apron:
Of course, for the most part, the mission (in no particular order) is to get as drunk as possible, ride your bike around the compound as many times as you can, flash body parts, give and receive beads, walk the compound (which consists of one campsite after another - about five miles' worth) and basically just party your ass off. Each campsite has something different to offer. A few even brought their own stripper poles!
Here are some pictures (the ones I deemed appropriate to share) to give you a little idea:
My drinkin' and walkin' buddies: Sandra, Me and Bobbie Jo
We were out walking the trail and stumbled across Bead Boy's camp and had to share a toast! Side Note: I don't even remember this picture being taken. Oops!!
Sturgis is not for the faint at heart. It's all in good fun, but if you can't handle loud partying, motorcyles that never stop and full frontal nudity 24/7 - stay at home.
Finally, I wanted to give a shout-out to all of the people who were worthy of my pet names: Bead Boy; Milwaukee's Best; Memphis; Three Card; the Pink Ladies; Asshole and Argon.
And to: LaDonna, "Jack", Bobbie Jo, McGyver, Lisa, Willie, Tracy, Duane, Shawn, Dave and Sandra.
And, last, but not least, LDC. (Thanks for taking me swimming!) ;o)
Thanks to all of you for contributing to one hell of a Fan-Fuckin-Tastic time!

Half-Nekkid Thursday - Sturgis Edition

It's good to be back for HNT - I missed it last week! But it was worth it! Sturgis was a blast - and everything I hoped it would be! For those of you who have never been to a bike rally, you have no idea what you're missing. I haven't had a chance to post about my experiences there....but will soon. Regardless, I wanted to at least post my "bead" picture. I earned about 20 pounds of beads, but don't ask me what I did to earn them, because I'll never tell! What happens at Sturgis.....stays at Sturgis! ;o)
I hope you all have a wonderful Day Before Friday!!!
Happy HNT - Jen! XO

"Damn! That Hurt!!!"

Well, I made it back alive. Sturgis was AWESOME!!! I'm battered, bruised, sweaty and bleeding. But, I'm alive.

Honest to God, my entire body hurts from head to toe. Five days of non-stop mayhem will do that to you. I'll give everyone the details tomorrow. For right now, I'm going to pass out.

Would You Bail Me Out of Jail??

Today is my last day of work before Sturgis! I have so much packing and other stuff to do!
Even though this trip is just a five-day "free-for-all", much planning goes into every aspect of it! There are a lot of things that can pop up that you have to be prepared for. This ain't your grandma's tea party, if you know what I mean!
I'm just so excited! And, even more so, because I know that I will actually have fun on this trip!! And it's been a long time coming.
I'm sorry that I will be HNT-less this week, but I've been so busy thinking about this trip, that I ran out of time.
Just cross your fingers that I make it back alive! Some people have left for Sturgis, never to be seen again! LOL
Love you all!!! I'll be back on Monday.

No Title

''It's Getting Better All The Time''

I don't stop breathing every time the phone rings
My heart don't race when someone's at my door
I've almost given up thinkin' you're ever gonna call
I don't believe in magic anymore
I don't lie awake at night asking God to get you off my mind

It's gettin' better all the time
It's gettin' better all the time

Yeah, I got to work on time again this morning
This old job is all I got to live
And no one even noticed I've been crying
At least I don't have whiskey on my breath
Yeah, I think I'm going to make it
Cause God won't make a mountain I can't climb

It's gettin' better all the time
It's gettin' better all the time

God, I hope you're happy, I wish you well
I just might get over you
You can't ever tell
I always thought that I'd do something crazy
If I ever saw you out with someone else
But when the moment came last night,
I couldn't say a word
I stood there in the dark all by myself
Yeah, I could have said a million things, but all I did was keep it locked inside

It's gettin' better all the time
It's gettin' better all the time
It's gettin' better all...the time

TGIF

I'm glad it's Friday!! I've been so screwed up this week, but now it's almost over. Thank God!!
I've got some big plans coming up!! I decided to come back to work early last week and save some vacation days, because I've been invited to go to the Little Sturgis Rally next week. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a bike rally, that's pretty much a non-stop party for five days!! I've been to a few before, but never this one. It's one of the biggest and best. So, I won't be able to post much next week. But, I'll be thinking of you all.....AND, of course, getting lots of great pictures and stories to share. I'm not leaving until Wednesday, so I'll be around the first part of next week.
This is definitely a better way to spend my time off, then what I originally had planned. It's just nice to have something to look forward to and people that I really enjoy being around.
Watch Out Everybody - Jen is BACK - and I hope she sticks around for a while this time. I'm just ready to be happy.

Half-Nekkid Thursday - Blue Collar Edition

In honor of the recent 4th of July Holiday, I decided to dedicate this HNT to all of the blue collar workers of America - the backbone of our country. I hope that by the time Independence Day rolls around next year, things are much better where they are concerned.
So.....give it up for all the men and women who break their backs every day just to get by.
Happy HNT Everybody!!

Back to the Grind

Sometimes, I really hate holiday weeks. They are absolute torture. I hope you all had a great 4th of July! I'm just praying that Friday gets here quick.
Nothing new to report on an emotional level. I'm still just dealing with getting up in the morning and getting to work. It's hard to pass my step-daughter's empty room. It's hard to come home to an empty house every night after work and deal with two dogs who are definitely trying to slowy drive me insane, and trying to figure out how I'm going to keep my house.....but I'm doing it. Breathing in and Breathing out.
I haven't seen my sister, my parents or my nieces since the night before Ryan went back to Afghanistan. I've been sick and my sister and Melly have been sick. The last thing I want is to have the new baby get it. My sister's worn out enough as it is. I miss them though. Hopefully, I'll get over there soon. Bella's already changed so much since I saw her last. Here are some new pics of her and Melly that I stole from my sister. ;o)

Yee Haw!!!

Let freedom ring, let the white dove sing
Let the whole world know, that today is a day of reckoning
Let the weak be strong, let the right be wrong
Roll the stone away, let the guilty pay
It's Independence Day

~Martina McBride~
