Half-Nekkid Thursday - 08.31.06

In preparation of my "roomie" moving in, I have been doing some small redecorating projects....one being re-painting my stepdaughter's bedroom which was a nice shade of Pepto-Bismol Pink. I decided to convert her old bedroom into an office and put both of our computers and other office equipment into it. I opted for a nice shade of slate blue.

As I sat around last night trying to decide what to do for HNT this week, I thought - just pose half-nekkid in your new "blue" room.

Happy Hump Day!

First off, I want to apologize to everyone for being so lax in commenting on your blogs lately. I really appreciate the people who still visit my site, even though I haven't had alot of time to visit their's. It means alot to me. I have been SOOOO busy at work and at home, that I haven't had a chance to do much of anything......as you can tell from my recent posts. I'm still trying to keep up with everyone, and I really miss my daily interactions with you all. Hopefully, things will slow down in a few weeks and I can get back to my regular blogging routine.

In the meantime, here's a couple of new pictures of the newest addition to my family. Bella Boo!!

TMI Tuesday - Part 5

1. Do you use the restroom in public places?

I'm not sure if this means a public restroom or behind a bush, but either way.....YES!! If nature calls, I'm going wherever I can. I'm a "lake girl", so I'm used to going in all sorts of places. Obviously, a bathroom is much nicer....but I'm not that picky. ;o)

2. What is your favorite kinda porn... girl on girl, 3somes, guy/girl, guy/guy?

Depends on my mood......not into "guy on guy" at all.

3. Do you talk to your neighbors? Have they heard you? You heard them?

I talk to both sets of my neighbors. I think I'm probably the loudest in the neighborhood....but that's not saying much. Most of my neighbors have been using their senior citizens discount for about 20 years. ;o)

4. Ever maxed out your credit card? Bounced a check?

Unfortunatley, yes.....to both. ;o(

It's Monday Already?

Well, the papers are signed!! I'm the proud single "owner" of my house!! I'm just glad that agonizing over the decision is a done deal. I don't need the extra stress.

I had a jam-packed weekend. Sorry about not posting on Friday, I was so busy at work.

Our State Fair has been going on for the last two weeks and this was the final weekend.....which is always the best. Puddle of Mudd was one of the free shows, so I went and saw them on Friday night - then, of course, hung out at the "Bud" tent. I was having a great time....until I walked around the corner of the tent and ran RIGHT INTO my ex. Talk about ruining my night! I immediatley decided to walk down to the next beer tent I could find, just so there wasn't any drama and I'll be damned if he didn't do the same thing. I just decided to leave. It wasn't worth it.

I just had to post this picture - if this isn't a typical "Fair" booth, I don't know what is!

The gig on Saturday night went really well. It only took me a few seconds to get over my nerves. Everyone seemed like they were having a good time. After my first song, the crowd yelled for an encore - I guess that's a good sign. LOL

I spent Sunday by the pool and then hit the Fair again. Rascal Flatts was in concert and I was hoping to score some tickets. It didn't happen. I did, however, run into an old friend that I hadn't seen in awhile and it was really good to see her again. I invited her to the big Labor Day Blowout next weekend and she said she'd come. I guess things are starting to turn around....at least it seems like they are. It's just nice to smile again!

Half-Nekkid Thursday - 08.24.06

So....in a drunken conversation with my Daddy last Friday, I volunteered to help out his band by doing back-up vocals and maybe singing a few songs for a gig they have this weekend. One of the guys is out of town, and I thought I would help them out.

I had my "audition" with the band last night. The audition went well, and I am an honorary member of the band for Saturday night. It should be a crazy time!!! All of this, of course, inspired my HNT this week. I'm sure the gig would be even crazier if I played half-nekkid! LOL

On a side note: I'm signing the papers on my house today.....my "roomie" is moving some stuff in later tonight and the rest of the stuff on Saturday. Let's just hope everything works out. I'm pretty optimistic.

Sorry that I've been MIA for the past few days. I've had alot going on.....and today is no exception.

Half-Nekkid Thursday - Freedom Edition

OK....here goes nothing! I've been doing HNT for about seven months and I've really enjoyed it. As you all know, I have always tried to do HNT with a mixture of class and sexiness, and have never really been one to put anything on here that I would be ashamed of later.

On that note, I've got some really good news! My divorce was final yesterday! In that vein, I decided to dedicate this HNT to Freedom...and it really feels good!

So, I tried to be creative with my picture this week. The funny thing is, I was going to crop it up and post a picture like I normally do....but then I thought.....this is a freedom post. 1. Have you ever had sex at someone else's house during a party? Details?

Yes. It was one of those awesome spur of the moment things in the bathroom. The cool thing about having sex like that, is that once you return to the party (or whatever it was that you were doing prior to that), you have your own little secret...something you can share across the room with each other. I LOVE moments like that.

2. Ever tried to replay the famous scene from From Here to Eternity? How was it?

This is hilarious....I was just having this conversation last night. I have never done that...but I am bound and determined to do it on my next vacation.....and I KNOW it will be good. ;o)

3. Do you like pain during sex?

Not particularly.

4. On a scale from 1-10, how promiscuous were you during your college years (whether you went or not)?

I wasn't even remotely promiscuous....I was with the same guy the entire time.

5. At what age do you think men and women reach their sexual peak? Do you think you have hit yours yet?

I think each individual person is different when it comes to their sexual peak. I don't think I've even come close to hitting mine yet, so everybody better watch out!!! ;o)

Bonus (as in optional): Do any of your ex's have naked photos or movies of you still?

None that I am aware of. I'm really careful when it comes to putting myself out there like that. And if I did let someone have that kind of "ammo" against me, I'd make damn sure I got it back before it was all said and done.

Not sure why I posted this picture, I just thought it was funny! It has absolutely nothing to do with anything I'm about to say.....go figure.

I am hoping to close on my refinance this Thursday....scary. I also have a "roomie" moving in, so everything seems to be falling into place. Let's just hope that nothing goes wrong. I'd really like to believe that my luck is changing. Other than that, not much going on. Just holding my breath until the papers are signed.

300th Post

Well, my 300th post was actually yesterday, but I couldn't overshadow HNT with that. So, I guess this is actually a post to celebrate my 301st post! Half-Nekkid Thursday - Blue Collar Edition #2

I have decided to dedicate another HNT to the blue collar workers of America. I feel so strongly about this issue because I have always been the underdog. I have always had to struggle for the things I've achieved and obtained in my life. There has been a lot of unrest here recently regarding union and non-union job sites. One of the biggest arguments, probably being our proposed basketball arena, which now, instead of being built by union workers, will be built by dirty, corrupt contractors looking to get richer, using non-local workers, not paying them nearly enough, and cutting corners so they can line their own pockets.

I'm just get so sick of seeing the rich get richer and the poor getting poorer. Levelling the playing field would be a huge jumpstart for the local movement. Homeland Security Starts With Job Security.

The Laborers' Union is leading the effort to help rebuild not just New Orleans, but workers' lives, which speaks volumes for their stance on protecting the people. As part of a coalition, the union will operate the New Orleans Workers Center to help train and find jobs for displaced New Orleans residents. That says alot about the organization, in that, it's proof that their main focus is not just about rebuilding communities, but rebuilding the spirit of the men and women who live in those communities.

Well kids....it's Friday! Whoo Hoo!

Don't have any huge plans this weekend, but my Daddy's band is playing tonight, so that's something. I've been in a strange mood over the past few days....just trying to figure everything out (with the house, etc.)....waiting on my divorce to be final.....I don't understand what's taking so long.

Anyway, as you all know, music is a huge part of my life. Whenever I'm in a funk, I go straight for the stereo. I've been listening to an "old" fave of mine lately - Marc Broussard - who is all that AND a bag of chips. I heard this song on the way to work this morning, and thought how cool it would be to have a man actually say something to me like the words in this song. To know that you have really changed someone's life....made them hope again...Damn!! Marc definitely knows how to get to women! Whew!!
