Half-Nekkid Thursday - Xmas Wishes

The theme this week is Christmas Wishes. This year has been one of the worst of my life, but I'm still hanging in there. I'm still optimistic that everything will work itself out.....that God never gives me more than I can handle....and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel (even if it seems a million miles away)!!
I sat and thought long and hard last night about the people I would choose for my wishes. It's hard to choose between just HNT people, because I have so many blogger friends that I wish nothing but the best for. Regardless of that, I didn't want to disappoint "Os", so here you go:
1. For Os: The strength to continue the great tradition of HNT for many years to come, as well as the ability to always make beautiful music.
2. For Greenacres: To always have a beer when you need one!
3. For Bronx: To keep the ability to always make me smile and cheer me up!

On a side note (which is really the most important part of this post for me), I received an email from my brother-in-law yesterday. As some of you may or may not know, he has been in Afghanistan for almost a year. I just wanted to share his message to everyone in Blogger land.
Please take the time to read his email to our family:

HAPPY HOLIDAYS! I'll be leaving to come home to the states soon...within the next 5 days. I've experienced alot over the past 11 months. I feel like I really didn't make any impact here. The bigger picture is whats important not my own selfish need for satisfaction. Alot has been done here in Afghanistan. 4 million Afghani kids are now enrolled in school compared to the 1 million in 2001. An internet facility just opened in Kabul for school age children. I've witnessed the locals become so grateful for the care of medics and doctors. Give any kid a pen here and you have a buddy for life. Yes Operation Enduring Freedom has taken the lives of great Americans. I've saluted their caskets on their final journey back to the states (a majority of them aren't infantry). With that said, this holiday season please take time to reflect on family and the things you enjoy the most. Don't worry about the soldiers here we can take care of ourselves. Enjoy The Holidays Damn It! Love You Guys-Ryan
Merry Christmas Everyone! Much Love and Well Wishes from your favorite nut job!!!
XOXOXO - Jinsane

Half-Nekkid Thursday - My X-Mas Tree and Me

UPDATE: For some reason, I am unable to post comments on anyone with the new Beta Blogger.....it won't let me sign in to comment. Just wanted everyone to know, that I have visited your blogs today, but was unable to post. ;o)

This week's HNT assignment, as handed down by the Great Os, was to take a picture of myself with my Christmas Tree. I had alot of fun doing this one!! And, as usual, I couldn't decide which shot I liked best. So...because it's the season of giving, and next week isn't "technically" an HNT week, I thought I would post my favorites.

Me and My Tree - My Favorite Three!! (Say that five times real fast! LOL)

Half-Nekkid Tree Decorating.......

I love the way the tree lights look in this one.....

Diary of a Snow Shoveler

December 8: 6:00 PM.

It started to snow. The first snow of the season and the wife and I took our cocktails and sat for hours by the window watching the huge soft flakes drift down from heaven. It looked like a Grandma Moses Print. So romantic! We felt like newlyweds again. I love snow!
December 9:
We woke to a beautiful blanket of crystal white snow covering every inch of the landscape. What a fantastic sight! Can there be a more lovely place in the Whole World? Moving here was the best idea I've ever had. Shoveled for the first time in years and felt like a boy again. I did both our driveway and the sidewalks. This afternoon the snowplow came along and covered up the sidewalks and closed in the driveway, so I got to shovel again. What a perfect life.
December 12:
The sun has melted all our lovely snow. Such a disappointment. My neighbor tells me not to worry, we'll definitely have a white Christmas. No snow on Christmas would be awful! Bob says we'll have so much snow by the end of winter, that I'll never want to see snow again. l don't think that's possible. Bob is such a nice man I'm glad he's our neighbor.
December 14:
Snow-- lovely snow! 8" last night. The temperature dropped to 20. The cold makes everything sparkle so. The wind took my breath away, but I warmed up by shoveling the driveway and sidewalks. This is the life! The snowplow came back this afternoon and buried everything again. I didn't realize I would have to do quite this much shoveling, but I'll certainly get back in shape this way. I wish l wouldn't huff and puff so.
December 15:
20 inches forecast. Sold my van and bought a 4x4 Blazer. Bought snow tires for the wife's car and 2 extra shovels. Stocked the freezer. The wife wants a wood stove in case the electricity goes out. I think that's silly. We aren't in Alaska, after all.
December 16:
Ice storm this morning. Fell on my butt on the ice in the driveway putting down salt. Hurt bad. The wife laughed for an hour, which I think was very cruel.
December 17:
Still way below freezing. Roads are too icy to go anywhere. Electricity was off for 5 hours. I had to pile the blankets on to stay warm. Nothing to do but stare at the wife and try not to irritate her. Guess I should've bought a wood stove, but won't admit it to her. God I hate it when she's right. I can't believe I'm freezing to death in my own living room.
December 20:
Electricity's back on, but had another 14" of that damned stuff last night. More shoveling. Took all day. Snowplow came by twice. Tried to find a neighbor kid to shovel, but they said they're too busy playing hockey. I think they're lying. Called the only hardware store around to see about buying a snow blower and they're out. Might have another shipment in March. I think they're lying. Bob says I have to shovel or the city will have it done and bill me. I think he's lying.
December 22:
Bob was right about a white Christmas because 13 more inches of the white crap fell today, and it's so cold it probably won't melt till August. Took me 45 minutes to get all dressed up to go out to shovel and then I had to pee. By the time I got undressed, pee'd and dressed again, I was too tired to shovel. Tried to hire Bob who has a plow on his truck for the rest of the winter; but he says he's too busy. I think he's lying.
December 23:
Only 2" of snow today. And it warmed up to zero. The wife wanted me to decorate the front of the house this morning. What is she nuts??? Why didn't she tell me to do that a month ago? She says she did, but I think she's lying.
December 24:
6". Snow packed so hard by snowplow, l broke the shovel. Thought I was having a heart attack. I know he hides around the corner and waits for me to finish shoveling and then he comes down the street at a 100 miles an hour and throws snow all over where I've just been!Tonight the wife wanted me to sing Christmas carols with her and open our presents, but I was busy watching for the snowplow.
December 25:
Merry Christmas! 20 more inches of the @#%$#$@%^$# slop tonight. Snowed in. The idea of shoveling makes my blood boil. God I hate this snow! Then the snowplow driver came by asking for a donation and I hit him over the head with my shovel. The wife says I have a bad attitude. I think she's an idiot. If I have to watch "It's a Wonderful Life" one more time, I'm going to kill her.
December 26:
Still snowed in. Why the hell did I ever move here? It was all HER idea. She's really getting on my nerves.
December 27:
Temperature dropped to -100 and the pipes froze.
December 28:
Warmed up to above -50. Still snowed in. This WITCH is driving me crazy!!!!!
December 29:
10 more inches. Bob says I have to shovel the roof or it could cave in. That's the silliest thing I ever heard. How dumb does he think I am?
December 30:
Roof caved in. The snow plow driver is suing me for a million dollars. The wife went home to her mother. 9" predicted.
December 31:
Set fire to what's left of the house. No more shoveling.
January 8:
I feel so good. I just love those little white pills they keep giving me. Why am I tied to the bed?

Picture Post.....

I have taken so many pictures over the last few months, always with the intention of posting them, along with the story behind them.....and, as you all know, I haven't been doing a very good job lately. For that, I sincerely apologize. I haven't been visiting or leaving comments with any of my buddies, and I feel terrible about it. That's probably why I have lost over half of my regular visitors.....I will do my best to rectify the situation.
We just found out that Ryan gets to come home early from Afghanistan, which is really great news for my sister....but not such great news for me or my parents. This means that Em and the babies will be leaving earlier than planned to head back up to New York. We also found out that he will be re-deployed in May of 2008, but this time he is going to Iraq. Not good news!!!
However, I am extremely grateful that he is coming home safe!!
Here are some pics from Melly's 6th birthday party!!
Thanksgiving: Pictures by Melly
This is my gramps! I think Melly has a great photographic eye!! LOL
However....I don't think she needs to take her pictures so close. LMAO
My new man.....Lonnie, my Daddy and my Gramps!
Pics of the babies! I am going to miss them so much!!!
How precious is Bella??
Pretty damn precious!!!
World's Most Gorgeous Siblings.....aside from me and my sister, of course! ;o)
This year that my sister has been home has flown by so fast. I can't believe she's already getting ready to leave again. You all know how excited I was for the new baby to get here....I finally realized that I have been subconsciously spending less time with them, because it hurt me so bad when they left the last time. It's so hard to love someone so much and watch them leave. Especially, the babies. They mean so much to my family....to me. My parents are going to be devastated and then they will be stuck here with the daughter whose life is a total disaster!! Aren't they lucky??

Half-Nekkid Thursday - Bedroom Edition

I sure wish I had photoshop or some other type of program....I really love most of the pictures I take for HNT, but wish I could do more with them, (i.e., taking stuff out of the background, etc.). Oh well, I'm an amateur, what do you expect?
Anyhoo, I was just getting ready to go to bed last night and thought I would snap a few pics. My creativity wasn't exactly flowing.....but hopefully, you guys won't mind.

Happy HNT Everyone!

Remember to forgive, forget and move on. Life is too short!

Love ya! XOXO

TMI Tuesday - Part 10

I am several weeks behind in participating, so I just picked one from the mix. I believe this was from last week.......
I'm always a day late and a dollar short.......

1. My biggest sexual turn on is:
Well, I don't know if it's my biggest turn on, but, a long, slow, wet kiss is definitely up there for me!! You have to start somewhere, right??

2. On a scale of 1-10, how jealous do you get (have you gotten)?

When I was younger, I would get pretty jealous. More of a self-esteem issue, than something my significant other was doing. But, I have grown WAY past that. I don't have time for needless worrying. I do enough of that already.

3. Have you ever had sex with someone you work(ed) with? Any negative consequences?

NEVER

4. Wash up, cuddle or fall asleep?

All three....in that order.

5. Which is more important of the two in "chemisty," physical attractiveness or sexual performance?
I have to be physically attracted to someone before I even come close to finding out about their sexual performance.
Bonus (as in optional): What kind of birth control do you use?

Birth control? I'm from Kentucky, we don't use that here!!! J/K - I use the pill.

I didn't have any time to post today, but I thought I would put SOMETHING up, at least. AND, this cartoon I just couldn't resist....

Tagged.....Thanks Professor!

This is how it works: Each player of this game starts with the "6 weird things about you". In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged. People who get tagged need to write a blog post of their own 6 weird things, as well as state this rule clearly. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says “you are tagged" in their comments.
Here are my six things (it's really hard to limit them to six....):
1. My step-daughter lived with me for over a year (instead of either of her parents) after my ex and I separated.
2. I always have to have something to drink in front of me, whether I'm at work or at home.
3. I hate wearing socks and shoes. Hell, I AM from Kentucky after all. LMAO
4. I am a daily smoker, but I always put each cigarette out half-way through. I have no idea why.
5. I wouldn't eat an egg or anything with eggs in it. (Even if you paid me......well, maybe.)
6. I still love to color.
I am going to tag: Bronx Hottie; Twisted Pain; City Soul; Scott; Sal; and Eddie.
