Jen's Roller-Coaster Day!
So, for those of you who haven't read my first two posts today - read those first.
As you know, my day started off great. I was in a good mood and feeling pretty happy. Until hubby called and got into his normal "shit-head" mode. I was feeling pretty low after that.
But, THEN, I get called into my boss' office and told to shut the door. I walked into the room, face still wet from bawling on the phone with asshole, when she tells me to sit down. Before I even got over to the chair, the senior partner of the firm comes in and sits down across from me. I'm thinking, "Great, now what?"
Turns out....I got promoted! I'm the new Head Bankruptcy Paralegal. Hell Yeah! Since I've been flying solo for the last month and a half, they said that they had really noticed how much I've "stepped up to the plate" and really dove into my responsibilities. I also got nominated for Employee of the Month by six different people. (It comes with some pretty good perks!)
I guess someone upstairs loves me. It's funny how one day can bring out so many different emotions.
For now, at least, Jen's happy again!

Jen, not often do I give some direct advice, but I am going to today.
You seriously need to forgive yourself. Everybody makes mistakes, I don't know anyone who doesn't.
Also, tell your hubby, that worktime is off limits to him. When he learns to control his feelings, then maybe he could call. He's going to end up taking you down if you're not careful.
You have got to stop letting him rip you apart. He is doing exactally what he set out to do- bring you down. If he can't talk to you with respect (which you deserve) he shouldn't be allowed to talk to you at all.
Lastly, you are an awsome, wonderful spirit that deserves, respect and all the great things this life has to offer. We've only got one life and you deserve to be happy. Don't let this guy verbally and mentally abuse you any more. It is time to heal.
Congrats on the promotion. It does not surprise me that you got one. I can tell you are the best at what you do.

Dido CityMan! My advice about Mr X, is cut him out! He's tryin real hard to punish n insult ya, n the bad situation's minimum half his fault (at least), he's being so cruel now. He knows your buttons well, next time shut him off before he gets there again.
Get a happy thought ahead a time to say over n over as he's speakin, n block him out. He's only saying lies n trash not worth giving any weight to anyhow.
